Voiceover Demos are at the heart of Crying Out Loud’s operation. Both Simon and Marina are practitioners in the industry have have a combined 35 years experience (and at such young ages!).

The focus is obviously on you, the performer. We work with you to ensure that the finished product really ‘sells’ your voice and plays to your strengths.

The Expansion of Radio
The development of digital radio has created even greater scope for actors to break in to the rewarding world of radio - the ongoing development and expansion of the medium means that much more drama is guaranteed to be produced. In addition to the BBC there are currently over eighty independent radio companies producing drama, and the list is continually growing - Radio Commercials are on the up again and we have seen an increase in the Documentary and Narration markets.

What You Need To Do
Book your consultation with Marina Caldarone by calling her on 07946 533108. During this session, Marina (or anotherof our Directors) will suggest material for you to try. At the end of the session you will leave with a copy of the scripts so you can familiarise yourself with them before the recording session.

You will choose a mixture of the following*:

1. •3-5 Commercials (covering many styles)
   

2. •1-3 Drama pieces (suitable for BBC Drama submissions)
   

3. •1 Narrative piece (talking book)
   

4. •1 Documentary (voiceover for a TV programme, CDROM, Corporate etc)
   

Please note: at Crying Out Loud we do more than make VoiceOver CDs, consequently it may be that you have to wait a couple of weeks to record with us - we could record twice as many clients as we do, but we think that might halve the quality of service! You may have waited years to make a CD, waiting a little longer will ensure its as good as it can be.
